About

Movements start with a voice and change happens in the margins. By mobilizing the people around us we will rise to meet the challenges we face. This is our struggle and we can choose whether to address it or not.

Hi Ben, I started back in Sweden in the early 1980's to encourage people to recycle cans, we actually paid 1 cent per can back then.
Was in process to start a similar web site to yours, would love to see if we can join forces and ideas.

Hey Ben,
Haven't spoken to you in a long time!
Any ideas on how to make Saks Fifth Avenue's corporate offices green?!?! I want to do this. Right now we only recycle white paper (most people throw away their bottles and cans--it's nuts).

Hey, i was wondering what your e-mail address was. You can e-mail me at rtilton1@gmail.com if you prefer not to give out your information on a wall.

By the way i saw that you spoke at MIT the other week. Congrats!

Ben, this is my first "wall" experience. Hopefully I'm putting this in the right place so that you'll see it. :-) I guess it's time to start catching up with the kids and their social networking knowledge. Hopefully your morning will be clear on Jan. 31st and you'll be able to join us. I'll forward you the list of speakers so that you know who else will be there.

Yo Ben, I'm thinking about ways to improve the sustainability of the coffee shop I work at, but don't think I have the authority to sign it up as a small business. I also don't want to make a fake profile for a small business. What's the deal for the small business option? Are there different actions than for individuals? Is there a way to preview those actions without signing up the business?

Hi Ben! This site is inspiring, smart and at the same time totally common sense! Yet we need amazing people like you to shed light on the everyday things that make a difference! Now I gotta do my part and get my NYC peeps on board!

Camus once said that "the aim of life can only be to increase the sum of freedom and responsibility to be found in every man and in the world." Congrats gents, I think that you have helped to do both. We are now informed and free to make better choices, as well more responsible, forced to account for our actions.

Congrats on the site! It's awesome. I just invited all my friends :)

Things are HOT and busy out here in AZ. I'm working on planting 100,000 mesquite trees to reclaim a bosque that was burned in a fire! Will that lower my footprint? Haha!

Hey Ben!

I'm totally interested in starting something in the SF region, but the conflict of interest thing is sort of looming over my head. Why don't you shoot me an email about the details and we'll go from there. Take it easy!

Moving to Birmingham has been a challenge working for a Green-ish company. As many of us relocated here from other regions of the country, we're most definitely in the forming stages of a grassroots movement for the area, if not the state.

Thanks for the note.
