About
EarthCorps, Esurance and dozens of local partners are teaming up to bring you Climate Action Week!
On November 1-8, 2008, up to 1,000 volunteers will plant trees at up to 10 restoration sites in Federal Way, Kirkland, Mercer Island and Seattle.
You can take action by reducing your carbon footprint.
We’re focusing primarily on food, because everybody loves to eat! In the US, food production and consumption accounts for nearly one-third of greenhouse gas emissions. And a new report by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization found that half of the food produced worldwide is wasted.
By taking simple and delicious steps like eating locally-grown produce, focusing on fresh greens and less meat, not throwing away food, and saving energy in the kitchen, you can make a difference. And teaming up with others in the Climate Action tree can make a really big difference!
