About

Community gardening is a new experience for me. I started this blog as an online garden journal, and it's now home to my sometimes-amusing learning curve at larger scale gardening, after a long stint of planting containers full of tomatoes, basil, and cilantro. ("Oh no! Not another learning experience!")

Even better, when I showed up for spring cleanup day at my community garden, there were a record number of new gardeners there to start a plot, including lots of families. Really encouraging.

Got a garden? Got a container full of flowers? It's all good. Let's see what we can accomplish together.

Hi Karen,
I'm not sure; I've been just recently learning (and getting a chance to actually practice what I learn) about composting. I read, I talk to other people about it, and I'll be posting sometime next week about it. Would you be willing to drop by and contribute a comment (even, at length?) about the subject? I know I and the people reading my blog would appreciate your knowledge & experience.
Thanks again!
Margaret

I've been gardening for 20 years and truly believe that compost is the best fertilizer I've ever used. How do we mainstream the message of the benefits of composting in gardening?
