Benjamin N.S. Brown: Chief Executive Officer
Ben has a background in energy markets, energy modeling, renewable energy and regulatory economics. He most recently contracted with Constellation New Energy to work on their energy efficiency and load response offering as well as design renewable energy products for their smaller commercial and residential markets in New England. He previously worked as an Analyst in the Energy and Environment consulting groups at Charles River and Associates International and Industrial Economics Inc., where he modeled various energy and capacity markets and researched future economic trends and regulatory incentives for renewable power generation in the United States. MMS is Ben's first entrepreneurial venture, representing the culmination of several years of professional experience and personal concern for the environment. Ben graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Mathematical-Economics. There he received numerous academic distinctions, including the exclusive John Plukas and Horace White Awards for excellence in the department of Economics as well as the Wesleyan University Davenport Grant for thesis work on Climate Change and adaptation in the Developing World for which he received high-honors. He was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon International Honor Society in Economics and is co-author of an article on climate change pending publication in the July edition of Climate Policy titled, "Mitigation as a Tool to Manage the Risk in Adaptation and Development Planning". Ben has been devoted to progressive causes and the environment since high school, working as an office manager and canvasser for the Democratic National Committee in the 2004 election as well as Greenpeace in its campaign against global warming and initiative to block drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
David Delcourt: Chief Operating Officer
David began his professional career in Natural Resources finance with the Banc of America Securities Global Investment Banking Team, learning various valuation and financial modeling techniques, as well as accumulating valuable knowledge of the natural gas, oil, and pipeline industries. David soon joined NERA Economic Consulting in Boston where he served as a Research Analyst. Founding MMS together with Ben and Adam is David's first entrepreneurial endeavor; motivated by years of environmental concern, research, and constant dialogue with Ben and Adam, David jumped at the opportunity to transform a passion for the environment into a tool for change. David received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Latin American Studies from Wesleyan University. During his tenure at Wesleyan David also completed the Certificate of International Relations and was honored as a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon International Honor Society in Economics. David has been an active participant and financial supporter in environmental issues over the years, participating in Adopt-a-Highway, recycling and composting programs at Wesleyan University and in the Boston area. As long as there is less then a few inches of snow, he can be spotted riding his mountain bike around Cambridge.
Adam Schrader-Brown: Chief Creative Officer
Adam is currently a lecturer at Brooklyn College and John Jay College, where he teaches Undergraduate English and the STAR program for public high school students. Adam received his Bachelor of Arts in History and African American Studies from Princeton University and his Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Brooklyn College. He brings a range of experience in creative writing, new media, advertising, education and social activism. Adam has worked as a teaching artist in the New York City public school system through the Community Word Project and through an NYSEA grant which sponsors Artists residencies in NYC's neediest public schools. He has also worked over the past three years teaching Poetry to adolescents from local area homeless shelters through the Arts Conservatory Program at the New South Bronx PAL. Adam's writing has been featured in the Earshot series and the John Jay Selects series. His work has been published in McSweenys, VerbSap, and Lorraine and James.
